Organic Green gram is a traditional variety of pulse cultivated in organic way without using any fertilizers or pesticides in organic eco-farms all over India. Green Gram Dal commonly known as Mung, Moong beans, Mung beans is available in many forms- whole, split, de husked (yellow) and ground. Green Gram is rich in proteins, dietary fibre and low in cholesterol and saturated fat.
Recipe
The whole beans can be sprouted and mixed with all kind of salads or simply used as vegetable preparation and the split ones can be cooked as dal.Cooking, frying and roasting of sprouts is not recommended as it denatures the nutrients. Steam cooked sprouts may be given to aged people as it is easy to digest.
